Dear Parishioners

Saturday/Sunday Mass:  As you are likely aware, the latest Covid-19 regulations now restrict us to a maximum of 10 people at Mass.

Some other parishes have chosen to discontinue public Mass at this time.  However, we will go ahead with our usual 3 weekend Masses.  This was a difficult decision, and we pray it was the right one.

Those who had registered to attend Mass this weekend will be offered to attend Mass this weekend, or one of the next 3 weekends.  If you were one of these parishioners, you will be called to confirm your attendance.  This should take us to May 25th, when the Covid-19 regulations will be updated.

For now, we are not taking any new names on a waiting list.  If this changes, we will let you know.

Weekday Mass:  Weekday Mass will continue as usual.  If you wish to attend, please call Fr. Ed directly at:   (431) 205-5501.  He will ensure no more than 10 people attend.

This next week, May 4, 5, & 6th, there will be no public evening Mass.

Fr. Ed will be attending the Diocesan Priests’ retreat (virtually), and will say Mass privately those days.  On Friday, May 7th, he will have the regular evening Mass at 7:00 p.m.

***Mask wearing is now mandatory at all times inside the church, even when seated at your pew.

We Celebrate

God, infinitely perfect and blessed in himself, in a plan of sheer goodness freely created man to make him share in his own blessed life. For this reason, at every time and in every place, God draws close to man. He calls man to seek him, to know him, to love him with all his strength. He calls together all men, scattered and divided by sin, into the unity of his family, the Church. To accomplish this, when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son as Redeemer and Saviour. In his Son and through him, he invites men to become, in the Holy Spirit, his adopted children and thus heirs of his blessed life.

Catholic Church. (1994). Catechism of the Catholic Church. Vatican City: Libreria Editrice Vaticana.

I see Jesus in every human being. I say to myself, this is hungry Jesus, I must feed him. This is sick Jesus. This one has leprosy or gangrene; I must wash him and tend to him. I serve because I love Jesus.

Mother Teresa

Never tire of firmly speaking out in defence of life from its conception and do not be deterred from the commitment to defend the dignity of every human person with courageous determination.

St. John Paul II

God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.

C. S. Lewis
